Jason Roberts Discusses Cutting-Edge Recruitment Tactics

On this week’s Recruitment DNA podcast, our host Max was pumped to welcome a legend of the talent acquisition world: Jason Roberts.
Jason is the Global Head of Technology and Analytics at Randstad Sourceright, and has more than 15 years of recruiting expertise and leadership experience under his belt. Jason contributed a great deal to Randstad Sourceright’s recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) arm, making sure the division prioritized exceptional service delivery, round-the-clock diligence, and industry-leading support.
Live from SourceCon 2019 in Atlanta, Max chatted with Jason about cutting-edge recruiting techniques, networking with “all-stars” at SourceCon, and much more. During the conversation, Jason told a cool story about telling other people about Wade and Wendy:
“Being able to automatically have jobs come in, have Wendy match candidates against that job, send out messaging, write customer screening questions for every job, and then return qualified candidates. I told this story and people said ‘wait, wait, wait, you did what now?’”
Jason went on to talk in fascinating ways about the process of integrating an AI recruiter into a workflow, and how to develop good processes around automation. “Let machines do what machines do well,” was his advice. “Machines are good at talking to other machines. They’re good at matching. They’re really terrible at being creative.”
